Build your own app on Menuatic

A documented API for your store's menus, checkout, customers and orders, plus webhooks for your servers. Your brand's own iOS and Android apps, kiosks, and links to the software you already use.

Your own mobile apps

Publish your brand's iOS and Android apps with menus, checkout, Apple Pay and Google Pay through your Stripe, customer accounts and order tracking.

Kiosks and screens

Self-order kiosks, digital menu boards that show sold-out items, or a pickup screen that lists ready orders.

Connect your other software

Send every order to your accounting, delivery, CRM or printing service the moment it arrives, with signed webhooks.

How it works

The same engine as your ordering site

Your app calls the same checkout as your Menuatic store, so prices, tax, promotions, loyalty points, opening hours, delivery fees and order emails always match. Orders land on your live order screen like any other.

  • Publishable keys for apps, secret keys for your servers
  • Customer sign-in, saved addresses, order history and loyalty
  • Card payments that return to your app (yourapp://…)
  • Webhooks for new orders and every status change, retried for a day
  • OpenAPI 3 document: generate a client for Swift, Kotlin, Flutter or TypeScript
  • Version 1 is stable: we add, we never remove or rename

Questions

Good to know

Who can create API keys?

The brand owner, in the brand admin under Developers, once the plan includes the API. Keys are shown once, can be renamed, limited to your app's return links, and revoked instantly.

Is it safe to put a key in a mobile app?

Yes, a publishable key. It can only do what a customer can do on your ordering site. Secret keys, which read your orders, must stay on your servers.

Do orders from my app cost anything extra?

No per-order fee on Growth, Pro or Enterprise. Card payments go through your own Stripe account at Stripe's rates, as on your ordering site.

Can I test without touching my real store?

Yes. The sandbox is a separate system with demo stores and test cards. Real orders, payments and customers are never involved.

What happens if my server is down when an order comes in?

Webhooks are retried after 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2, 6 and 12 hours. You can also resend any delivery from the brand admin, and list orders with a secret key to catch up.
